Radiology

Radiology laboratory is a special area where many different diseases are diagnosed and researches are carried out with the help of various medical tools. The medical devices used for the diagnosis of diseases in the radiology laboratory consist of;

Digital X-Ray: Thanks to this device, the patient's entire bone structure and detailed lung image are obtained. X-ray is a device that is frequently used in the diagnosis of diseases. In addition, with the help of some substances, the image of the entire intestinal system such as urinary tract, kidney functioning, functioning of the esophagus, stomach and large intestine can be accessed with this device. In this method, which is also applied in our hospital, the captured images are created by transferring them to the computer environment. Thus, the doctor can see the problem areas in a healthier way. In addition, the amount of radiation in the digital x-ray environment is much less than the amount of radiation in the old-fashioned x-ray areas.

Mammography: It is the imaging application used in the diagnosis of breast cancer. This imaging method also works with x-rays.

4D Ultrasonography: It is the latest technology and detailed imaging device.

Computed Tomography (CT): It is an imaging method that creates a cross-sectional image of the problematic part of the body with X-rays. The brain, sinus and lung are the most applied areas. There are 3 types of computed tomography: classical, spiral and multislice tomography.

Magnetic Resonance (MR): It is a non-invasive imaging technology that produces three-dimensional, detailed anatomical images without the use of harmful radiation. It is generally used for the detection, diagnosis and treatment follow-up of diseases. It is based on sophisticated technology that detects the change in the direction of the rotation axis of the protons in the water that makes up living tissues.

Bone Density Measurement: It is the measurement that determines the bone density and the risk of fragility.

Radiology laboratories provide great convenience to patients with the development of modern medicine. In addition, in order not to be exposed to radiation, lead glasses that prevent radiation and dosimeters that measure the radiation level are used between the radiation officers and the patients.
